After giving up my old foundation brand when I found out it was selling in China, and therefore was not cruelty-free, I started on a quest to find the perfect replacement for the foundation I had used for 25 years. I tried a lot of really good foundations, but none of them seemed “just right” for me. Then I started seeing ads for Juice Beauty, and I began researching this company. I found that Juice Beauty does not test on animals, is vegan, and made a decision to stop selling in China in 2013 when the company learned that the Chinese government was requiring products brought in to be tested on animals.
Juice Beauty’s decision to be compassionate rather than greedy was enough to convince me to give its products a try. I was in need of a new foundation, and I noticed that Juice Beauty’s Phyto-Pigments Foundation had a shade that seemed comparable to my old foundation shade. I tried it, and I loved it! It was similar to my old foundation only better. I am convinced that you would love it, too, so I decided to write this Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Foundation Review so you can decide if you would like to try it.

What Juice Beauty Says About This Foundation (directly from their website):
“Skin perfecting foundation and age-defying serum in one with concentrated plant-derived Phyto-Pigments. This buildable to full-coverage formula blends seamlessly for a flawless finish while delivering a noticeably smoother, more youthful looking appearance. Formulated without silicones, its hydrating coconut alkanes and antioxidant-rich technology provides comfort, as well as leaving skin looking radiant.”
Product Considerations: With this foundation, the coverage is buildable. It’s basically medium to full coverage which makes it very versatile. Applying evenly over your face with a foundation brush will give you a beautiful medium coverage finish or you can easily achieve a smooth, flawless, full-coverage finish by layering two coats with a foundation brush. And even with two coats, it feels so light and airy! It also works well for all skin types. If your skin is very dry, of course, you will want to use an excellent moisturizer.
If you have sensitive skin, this foundation would be an excellent choice. I am allergic to many foundations, and I have had no negative reactions to this one whatsoever. This one does not contain a sunscreen, at least not a lot of it, which is why it obviously works well for me. The ingredients list does indicate that the product may contain titanium dioxide, typically used in sunscreens, but apparently it does not contain enough to affect my sensitive skin. If you are outside a lot and feel that you need a sunscreen, you may prefer a different foundation, or you could use a sunscreen under your makeup.
Using Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Illuminating Primer under this foundation makes your skin look even more flawless and radiant. It also helps the foundation look great even longer!

- The foundation must be shaken well before each use
Final Verdict: I have to say I love this foundation. It gives my skin a smooth and flawless look. Since I want full coverage, Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Flawless Serum Foundation is perfect for me. I layer two coats and it looks marvelous. It lasts all day, and feels so weightless on my skin. It has become my favorite foundation. It covers so well that I can skip using concealer and still feel flawless!
Are you considering trying this foundation? Imagine yourself looking flawless and radiant all day. It blends perfectly, seamlessly with skin and and results in a beautiful, soft finish. Just set it with Phyto-Pigments Flawless Finishing Powder or Light-Diffusing Dust and you are all set for an all day gorgeous look!
Something else to consider is that you can get the Juice Beauty Phyto-Complexion Kit for $100. This is a savings of $26 compared to what you would pay if you purchased the foundation ($42), primer ($36) , and sculpting foundation brush ($48) all separately.
Have you tried this foundation? What was your experience? Do you have a favorite cruelty-free foundation you can compare it to? We’d love to know! Please tell us in the comments.
